General Discription

After a really long time of testing and optimizing the lay-up, finally the Shredsled come out of the birth canal of Timber Boards. A design made initially by Gijs Schalkx and developed further makes a board that can’t wait for you to rough it up. Having the feel of a large old-school skateboard with the durability you come to expect from Timber Boards.

Concave

Skateboard stylo. The rails are made in such a way that the center of the board has the most concave (1.2 mm). A flat surface in the middle, which is a bit wider at the stance, gives it a good platform to land your tricks.

Kicks

When you look closely, you might notice that the nose is a bit higher compared to the tail. This will catch your front foot better for even higher ollies. The tail is 17 cm, where the nose is 18 cm. The shape of the tail is made in such a way that flip tricks and no comply tricks are controllable. A large even platform makes it easier to revert out of tricks if you are into that kind of stuff. Basically your imagination is the limit with this board.

Mechanical Properties

Even though it’s a rather small board, we haven’t downgraded the amount of composites. This board is fortified with all kinds of composites, making this board very durable and strong. The shredsled has a great natural snapback and even though it’s a stiff deck, it feels very natural. Kicks are strengthened with double carbon and fibreglass to ensure the pop stays consistent for a long time.

Wheelbase

Short. So tech slides are easy to pull off. Shove-its and flip tricks are fast. The big kick as a result of the short wheelbase will give it a long life and enough wood left for lip slides and high ollies.

Style

Skateboard style. With the added bonus of being tougher.

Graphic

Made by Lance Schmale, a representation of the out-of-body experience.

Suggested set-up

Depends on personal preference. Will work with 150 or 180 trucks. Smaller wheels will give it a more skateboard feel, while bigger wheels (65-75mm) will give it a more all-round feel.
